While reading Joseph Schumpeter’s History of Economic Analysis I was deeply impressed by Schumpeter’s reverence for Ricardo. This inspired me to put my acquaintance with Ricardo into words and then to indicate, in dialogue with Schumpeter, how my thinking about Ricardo’s theory of value has developed.
